State e-Advocacy Center

The Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association is  happy  to  announce  that the CPMA State e-Advocacy Center is now fully functional.  The state e-Advocacy Center is a web-based advocacy tool that enables us to communicate with state legislative and administrative entities and the media in a timely and streamlined fashion.

Our state e-Advocacy site has tons of information on the State Legislature, Governor, and state administrative agencies. It also contains basic information on how to engage policymakers. APMA State Advocacy Committee and the Public Relations Department are working together to develop an advocacy guide with information on how to build relationship with state legislators and basic guidelines on writing news release and letter to the editor.

Please take a few minutes to visit the site. http://capwiz.com/apma/ct. Most importantly, create your profile by providing information requested by the Web site. Creating this profile would ensure that you are keyed to the correct state representative. You can make a big difference in just 5 minutes. That's all it will take to learn the issues and communicate with your elected officials. The actions of our state gov- ernments have an enormous impact on the practice of podiatric medicine.

So get ready to take action!
