Ethics Committee
Acts as a forum for issues related to any breach of the Code of Ethics of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association. The committee itself may answer questions regarding ethical behavior that may come from patients, practitioners or investigations. In all cases, the Code of this association will be strictly followed.

Legislative Committee
Monitors the Connecticut legislative process and identifies potential areas of concern to the profession as they arise. The committee shall monitor the voting records of key legislators on critical issues and identify friendly forces within the Legislature who may support podiatry’s point of view. The committee shall also be prepared to draft and manage new or corrective legislation as the occasion arises.

Managed Care Committee
Contract Medicine Committee: To maintain appropriate liaison with and monitor the activities of organizations such as Health Planning Agencies and PSROS (PROs). It shall also keep abreast of the relationship between podiatrists and all alternate health care delivery systems such as HMOs and PPOs as well as ambulatory surgical facilities, nursing homes and others. The committee reviews contracts with the attorney and provides information and assistance to the members as required.
