2018 ICD-10 Changes for Foot and Ankle Specialists—Effective Now!

"Editor's Note: Please see the following article, available to all members, which outlines a number of the ICD-10 changes for 2018.  

Effective as of October 1, there are more than 750 changes to ICD-10 made by CMS. Specifically for foot and ankle specialists, the breakdown of changes is as follows:

  • 29 deletions
  • 76 revisions
  • 176 additions

These include description clarifications for ulcer coding.

The codes have all been automatically updated on the APMA Coding Resource Center (CRC), but subscribers can view the complete listing of 2018 changes for foot and ankle specialists in a PDF, accessible on the CRC home page.
