"Young physicians from across the country came together for leadership training and networking this past weekend at the 2017 Young Physicians’ Institute at PICA headquarters in Franklin, TN.

The two-day event is a unique opportunity for young members to interact with APMA leadership and staff while also gaining skills that will help them take an active role in their profession as they progress through their career. Highlights included a networking workshop, break-out discussions about the future of APMA and health care in general, and advice for managing student debt and personal finances.

Just as importantly, attendees were able to talk with colleagues in both formal and informal settings about everything from opening a new practice and hiring staff to how to become more involved in their state association and finding opportunities to give back to the profession.

A full recap of the event will be published in the November/December issue of APMA News, and select presentations will be available online at the event website within the next two weeks. [Click here to] view a brief recap of the networking workshop from the event."
